See, the thing is...if Mai and Zuko break up, the Zutarians really will have no right to gloat about it, because all of the reasons they gave are probably going to be wrong. But they'll gloat, anyway. You know..."ugly," "loyal to Azula," "she just had a crush on him," etc....mainly the second and third ones there.

So I'm hoping they won't lose.

Though I AM hoping for some sort of breakup, just because there's so much potential. And Avatar still needs a relationship that goes through some rocky times by itself (a la, without the influence of other marriages, death, and such). And Mai and Zuko can each deliver a powerful accusation to the other that's harsh but fair....Mai may be mad at Zuko for not standing up to his father and thus being banished for that, and Zuko can yell at Mai for not getting on the ship with him and following him into exile if she was really loyal to him. So much emo-potential....not to mention the fact that there's a lack of trust potential on their parts.

Hopefully Ty Lee can help keep them together.
